Integration · GitHub → Slack
Every release ships with a launch video.
Impractical sits between your repo and your team. It watches GitHub for what you shipped, cuts the launch video, and drops it in Slack — then takes your notes right in the thread.

Setup
Live in a few minutes.
01
Connect GitHub
Install Impractical on the repositories you want it to watch. It follows the branch you choose — usually main, or your release tags.
02
Connect Slack
Add Impractical to your workspace and point it at a channel — say #launches. That's where finished cuts arrive.
03
Just ship
Push your code. Impractical sees what shipped, cuts a launch video, and drops it in Slack — usually before anyone asks for one.
Questions
The integration, answered.
How does Impractical know what to make a video about?
It reads what changed in a push — the commit messages, the diff, and the branch — to understand what shipped, then writes and directs a launch video for it. You can also trigger it on demand for a specific release.
Which pushes trigger a video?
You decide: every push to your main branch, only tagged releases, or manually when you want one. Impractical won't spam your channel — it's tuned to the moments that are worth announcing.
How do revisions work in Slack?
Reply in the thread in plain language — "hold the logo a beat longer", "open on the dashboard" — and Impractical re-cuts just that and posts a new version. No editing software, no back-and-forth with an agency.
How long does a video take?
About twenty minutes from push to a finished cut waiting in your channel.
What does the final video look like?
A finished, motion-graphics launch video: kinetic typography, camera moves, beat-matched pacing, your real UI and brand — delivered as a post-ready 1080p MP4.
