Count-up
A count-up animates a number from a starting value to a target value over time. It is most effective when paired with a camera push or a badge reveal, because the film tells the viewer this number is worth watching.
When to use it
Use it for proof: customers, hours saved, tasks done, revenue, speed, or volume. Lock the number width so the layout does not shift as digits change.
Common mistakes
Counting meaningless metrics; letting digits resize the layout; counting too slowly for the available attention span.
How Impractical uses it
Impractical has a deterministic count operation for stat pills and proof beats. The count lands on exact frames so exported videos remain repeatable.
