Fall reveal
A fall reveal brings letters or words down into view from above, usually inside a clipping mask. It is the inverse of a rise reveal: heavier, more decisive, and better for impact statements than gentle intros.
When to use it
Use it when the copy should land with weight: a problem line, warning, punchline, or hard transition into a new section.
Common mistakes
Letting the letters fall too far; using it for long body copy; combining it with bounce so the text loses authority.
How Impractical uses it
Fall is one of Impractical's named text reveal effects. It gives directors a heavier option when a normal rise reveal would feel too polite.
