Adjust volume

Turn a video's audio up or down — boost a quiet recording or tame a loud one — without touching the picture. Runs locally in your browser, no upload.

Runs entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded — no watermark, no account.

Get a better result

Best for
A soundtrack that is uniformly too quiet or loud and only needs one consistent gain change across the entire video.
Input → output
The video stream is copied while audio receives 0.5×–3× gain and is encoded as 128 kbps AAC inside an MP4 output.
Quality tip
Use small boosts and listen for clipping on loud peaks. Reducing gain is safer than raising audio with no remaining headroom.
Know before running
There is no limiter, noise removal, or per-section automation. Silent inputs cannot be adjusted, and some copied non-MP4 video codecs may be poorly compatible.
Next step
Normalize audio when consistent programme loudness matters more than a fixed gain.

How to use Adjust volume

  1. 1

Choose your file. Drop a supported MP4, MOV, WebM (with audio) file into the tool, or click to select one. It stays on your device — nothing is uploaded.

  2. 2

Pick your settings. Adjust the available options, then press Run. The first processing run loads the browser engine before conversion begins.

  3. 3

Download. Review the result, then download the finished file from your browser with no watermark.

Frequently asked questions

Is Adjust volume free? Is there a watermark?
Yes — Adjust volume is free to use with no sign-up or watermark. Very large files can still be limited by your browser's available memory and processing resources.
Do my files get uploaded to a server?
No. Adjust volume runs entirely in your browser with WebAssembly, so your MP4, MOV, WebM (with audio) file never leaves your device and nothing is stored or seen by us.
What can I put in, and what do I get out?
Adjust volume accepts MP4, MOV, WebM (with audio) and gives you back a MP4 file. You can also set volume before you run it. Actual codec support depends on what the bundled engine or browser decoder can read.
Does Adjust volume change my original file?
No. It never touches your original — Adjust volume creates a brand-new MP4 file to download and leaves the source on your device untouched.
