Elastic text
Elastic text uses scale and easing to stretch characters as they appear, then lets them return to their final shape. It is expressive and risky: the effect reads as playful, not neutral.
When to use it
Use it for short accent words, playful brand moments, and animated product names. Keep it brief and avoid small text.
Common mistakes
Using elastic motion on serious claims; stretching letters until they distort; applying it to entire paragraphs.
How Impractical uses it
Elastic is a named reveal in Impractical's text engine. The critic can keep it from leaking into scenes where the brand voice needs to stay sharp.
