Promo-out ease

Promo-out is a fast ease-out curve used for entrances that need to feel decisive without feeling abrupt. The element covers most of its distance early, then spends the rest of the move settling into place. It is the curve behind crisp cards, word landings, chips, and UI reveals in product launch motion.

When to use it

Use it for anything arriving on screen: headline words, badges, panels, buttons, or cards. Keep the duration short enough that the audience reads it as an arrival, not a glide.

Common mistakes

Using a slow ease-out for launch motion; mixing five different entrance curves in one scene; using linear motion for objects that should feel directed.

How Impractical uses it

Impractical registers promo-out as one of its named house curves and uses it for most entrances. It keeps motion consistent across generated films while still letting directors vary composition, timing, and emphasis.
