Wave text
Wave text offsets character motion so the word moves like a ripple instead of a block. Each character follows the same gesture with a small delay, creating energy while preserving the word's shape.
When to use it
Use it for playful product names, feature labels, and short phrases. Keep the copy short so the wave completes before the viewer finishes reading.
Common mistakes
Applying it to full sentences; increasing the stagger until the word becomes illegible; using it in a serious proof moment.
How Impractical uses it
Wave is part of Impractical's text vocabulary. Directors can use it for kinetic accents while the critic keeps it away from places where clarity matters more than personality.
